The City of Norfolk Economic Development's Capital Access Grant portal opens Thursday, July 18th at 8:00am! Attending one of the eight workshops is mandatory for all Norfolk businesses interested in applying.*Note, two virtual workshops have been added for those who may not be able to attend in person. We've been busy showing Downtown Norfolk off to these young professionals! Our LiveNFK Summer Career Launch interns and first-year associates beat the heat at a Norfolk Tides game, learned how to build financial security with Clearstead Advisory Solutions, mingled with other Downtown professionals at the Norfolk Innovation Corridor Kick Back, and enjoyed coffee and conversations with Downtown Norfolk's young professionals board, Downtown 100!

Last week, we hosted Brighter Together: a Downtown Norfolk Celebration & Annual Meeting presented by TowneBank. Held at the incredible d'Art Center, we celebrated the close of FY24 and reflected on the year's accomplishments, including the finalized Downtown Norfolk Strategic Plan Update. Attendees enjoyed delicious food from Omar's Carriage House, decor from Orbis Landscape Architecture, and participated in creative activities like collaborative abstract painting with artist Kim Keene and block printing with the 757 Creative ReUse Center. The program also featured inspiring talks and the election of officers and directors, making it a successful night of reflection, recognition, and community connection.
