We are very poor district. Great, friendly people, we just need better funds. I would love to see benton county do better. Our town is our school. That is the focal point of our town. Everyone who has grown up here, went to Hickory Flat. I want our teachers to have higher pay and for students to have more academic resources.

Benton county school district was a promising high school experience. I came into Ashland high school when i was 15 emerging into a young and respectful gentlemen. Though the school had a stereotypical reputation of being a low class dangerous facility of learning. The school district did not live up to the bad reviews. The teachers showed me great hospitality and care while showing great support in our education. Principle made sure students remained safe and sound throughout the days, Ashland sports basketball teams acquired two state championship rings which made school fun to attend for extra curricular activities. If Benton county could make immediate course of action to increase the amount of available subject classes available to each grade level. The two daily meal choices could use improvement dramatically as that would persuade students for a better attendance.

I graduated in 1990 from Ashland High School. It was an excellent experience for me. I enjoyed my time and learned a lot. However, it saddens me that the Federal Government has ruined our schools since then.
